Labor Day reminder: your body works hard. Give it the care it deserves. 💪

You work.
You parent.
You exercise.
You care for everyone else.
You carry the mental load.
You push through the aches, leaks, pressure, pain, and “I’ll deal with it later.”

But your body deserves attention, too.

This Labor Day, remember: pelvic health is health.

Leaking when you run isn’t something you have to accept.
Pelvic pressure isn’t something you have to ignore.
Pain with s*x isn’t “just part of getting older.”
And feeling like something isn’t quite right is reason enough to ask for help.

At Core Dynamics, we believe you deserve care that looks at the whole person—not just the symptom.

So today, take a breath. Rest. Move. Hydrate. Laugh. And maybe finally make that appointment you’ve been putting off.

Your body has been working hard for you. It’s okay to work hard for your body, too. ❤️

Happy Labor Day from Core Dynamics Physical Therapy!

Don’t Cancel!

Don’t even think about canceling your pelvic floor therapy appointment if…

✨ You’re in a flare
✨ You haven’t been able to commit much time to your home program
✨ You didn’t have time to shower or shave
✨ You have your period
✨ You don’t want to do internal work that day
✨ You only have questions and think it’s “not worth” coming in

Your appointment is not a test you have to pass.
You don’t have to be symptom-free, perfectly prepared, or caught up on your exercises to show up.

Sometimes the most important thing we do in a session is talk, reassess, modify the plan, and figure out what you need next.

So… come as you are. ❤️

S*xual health without awkwardness. ❤️

S*x shouldn’t be something that hurts.

Here’s something you can try next time: feel free to explore different positions.

You might be surprised by how much your whole body—especially your back and hips—can affect how s*x feels.

Sometimes, a small change in position can make a big difference.

Yes, the pelvic floor may be part of the picture—but it’s not always the whole picture.

Your spine, hips, abdominal wall, breathing, movement patterns, and more can all influence how your pelvis feels and functions.

Because treating pelvic pain means looking at the whole person, not just one body part. ❤️

Were you prepared for perimenopause and menopause?

Are you ready to talk about the changes happening to your body—changes you never thought would happen, or maybe never knew could happen?

The bladder changes. The pelvic floor changes. Sleep, hormones, s*xuality, mood, strength, and so much more.

This evening is for you. 💛

Come learn, ask questions, share experiences, and feel a little more prepared for this next chapter.

Because you don’t have to navigate it alone.

Niva Herzig, PT, owner of Core Dynamics Physical Therapy, teaches her team how to assess the postpartum abdominal wall.

Here, we’re guiding our postpartum PT, Shevi, through an abdominal wall assessment.

It’s important to understand not only what you see clinically, but how your patient views their abdominal wall and what their narrative is.

Even as a PT, Shevi had an uncomfortable relationship with her own abdominal separation (diastasis recti).

So we started somewhere just as important as the physical assessment: connecting with the person and helping them reconnect with their body.

When assessing the abdominal wall, don’t leave out:

• Ribs
• Diaphragm
• Breath
• Obliques
• Paraspinals
• The patient’s movement strategies
• Movement as a whole

And don’t underestimate the power of education.

Help guide patients away from fears such as:
“Am I making my separation worse?”
“Should I avoid this exercise?”
“Is exercise going to make my diastasis worse?”

Instead, help them understand their body, their strategies, and what their body is capable of.

And as pelvic health PTs, don’t be afraid to:

• Use manual therapy
• Touch and assess
• Explore movement
• Cue with words your patient actually understands
• Meet the person where they are

Assessment is more than measuring a separation.
It’s understanding the whole person behind the abdominal wall.

We spend a LOT of time outside of the clinic learning—and just as importantly, practicing what we learn. 👩‍⚕️📚

Education matters. Practicing techniques matters. Continuing to question, explore, and refine how we treat our patients matters.

Because physical therapy is so much more than exercise and range of motion.

And pelvic floor physical therapy is so much more than Kegels and biofeedback machines.

This is a peek into our visceral abdominal review, which began with a deeper look at diastasis recti.

Yes, diastasis recti may need strengthening and awareness—but sometimes it also needs hands-on assessment and treatment, along with an understanding of how the abdominal wall, breathing, pressure management, movement, and the rest of the body work together.

This is why continuing education is such an important part of what we do at Core Dynamics.

We’re constantly learning new techniques, practicing them with each other, and bringing that knowledge back to our patients.

Because the goal isn’t to give everyone the same exercise.

It’s to have enough tools to figure out what YOUR body needs.

Now we want to hear from you 👇

How much time do you think a physical therapist spends on continuing education?

Vacation… what does it mean to you?

Time off doesn’t always mean stress off.

Sometimes, the nervous system still holds onto the tension we’ve been carrying. A little jumping, wiggling, shaking, or simply moving your body can help release some of that stored stress.

And when you pair movement with a place that feels safe? That’s where the magic happens.

For me, it’s the sea. 🌊

Movement + nature + a sense of safety = a nervous system that finally has permission to exhale.

Where is your safe place?

08/06/2026

We’ve explored breathing, abdominal activation, and stability exercises. Now it’s time to challenge the pelvic floor with functional movements.

Using biofeedback, we looked at:
✨ Squats
✨ Deadlifts
✨ Jumping

What did we observe?

The pelvic floor doesn’t behave the same way during every movement. It adapts to the demands placed on the body, working together with the core and breathing system to provide support and control.

Pelvic floor therapy: it’s not just Kegels!
