Valentine’s Day has a sneaky way of making people feel like they’re somehow failing at love.
I see this every year.
If you’re single, it can start to feel like something must be wrong with you.
If you’re in a relationship but it’s quiet, imperfect, or not Instagram worthy, you might wonder if it “counts.”
If you didn’t get flowers or a big gesture, your brain might jump straight to I don’t matter that much.
I just want to gently say that none of that is evidence.
Being single isn’t a diagnosis.
Not posting your partner isn’t a red flag.
And Valentine’s day outcomes do not say anything about your worth, your lovability, or where your story is headed.
Valentine’s Day tends to poke at old wounds. The need to feel chosen, special, secure. So if Valentine's Day feels heavy or tender, that actually makes a lot of sense.
Your relationship status isn’t a report card.
It’s just information.
And this moment? It’s just a season.
Be kind to yourself today. That matters more than roses ever could. 💗
