Our flag retirement ceremony is still on for November 7th!

If you planned to drop off flags to be retired at our community appreciation event. We apologize for the inconvenience that we had to postpone the event.

If you still wish to drop off flags to be retired. You can stop by the fire station November 2nd at our business meeting from 6-8pm or your can stop by on November 3rd while we have voting going on at the station.

Or you can bring them to the ceremony itself if you would like to attend and pay tribute to old glory.

Have an old flag that needs to be retired properly? No, throwing the US flag in the trash is not the right answer.

Let Scouting America Troop 50 from Fort Rucker do it the right way.

See the flyer for more info.

Crawl, walk, run!

We had a change of plans last night and did not get into any extrication training but we did have some training putting on gear and doing search and rescue during a structure fire.

One of our newest firefighters had his first night in all his gear and learned what it’s like and how to operate an S.C.B.A.

Photographed here are Firefighters Moser and Cummings

Fun fact. Did you know that the gear a firefighter wears can weigh on average between 60 and 120 pounds or more depending on what you are taking into a fire?

Good morning, after careful consideration of the post-storm impact and competing events in the community, we are postponing our Community Appreciation event and are looking at a possible date in November.

We truly love and appreciate our community’s efforts this past weekend. We had very few calls and many of you played a huge role in opening up our roads Saturday morning.

Thank you for all you do to support our community and our fire department!
