Entrepreneurship runs deep in the O'Connell family.

I own Plein De Vie Wellness in Epworth where we will be offering targeted massages, & liniment add-ons to riders popping by Epworth Ragbrai 2026 on Saturday.

My husband, Kevin, owns & operates O'Connell Organic Acres with his dad & older brother. They specialize in certified organic 100% grass-fed beef & lamb, as well as certified organic chicken & pork. He will have snack sticks available to protein pack your fuel for the ride into DBQ.

But, the true star of the show will be our 6 year old son, Finnian. He will have a lemonade stand right out front my windows! Stop by and show him some support.

I saw this quote and felt like it really struck a chord. Personally, our family has been moved over the last few years to spend our money intentionally. Intentionally seeking local makers, creators, and visionaries to support. Thankfully, we have the means and accessibility to do that. It is such a heartwarming feeling to give back to like minded people sharing their passions, visions, and art with the world.

There are no words to describe the hurt in my heart.
My dad passed yesterday after one hell of a fight with pancreatic cancer.
He was one of a kind, always ready to welcome guests with a smile, a drink, and a story. He radiated love and ensured that each time we left the house we knew how much he loved us. He took pride in raising good humans & taught us to leave people better than we found them. He was the biggest cheerleader for us kids, and believed with every ounce of his being that we could achieve what ever we set our minds to.
I am fortunate to have known his love, I am honored to have been his daughter, and privileged to be a Sneed.
He passed on international women's day, which as a top notch girl dad raising strong, independent, take-no-sh*t-from-nobody kind of girls, is nearly the cherry on top of it all.
Heaven has a large part of my heart.

A local Dubuque business is helping small businesses, just like me, thrive in a time where there is a lot of uncertainty. (Is that just the motto of the 2020's now? "Unprecedented times!" I digress.)
