We're so excited to welcome our newest therapist, Kathryn, to the practice!
She's now accepting new clients for individual, couples, children and families, and she's in-network for United, Aetna, Cigna.
Ready to hear more about our latest team addition?
Hi, I am Kathryn!
I was born here in Colorado, but raised in the beach cities of Los Angeles, CA. I have my bachelor’s in Child Development and Family Studies from Cal State Long Beach and my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Colorado Christian University. My family and I relocated to Erie, CO in 2022 and are so happy to be part of the thriving community here!
I take a strengths-based, person-centered approach to therapy, which includes valuing my clients’ intuition and the therapist-client relationship as a catalyst for change. I enjoy working with children, couples, adults, and families to explore relational dynamics, trauma, and out-of-control feelings to work toward reclaiming a sense of wholeness and wellbeing. Depending on my clients’ needs, I use interventions such as the Gottman method, art, experiential exercises, psychoeducation, mindfulness, and when developmentally appropriate, play!
Outside of the counseling setting, you might see me cheering on my kids at their extracurricular activities or spending time with family and friends at Old Mine/Sweets. My self-care includes running, yoga, baking, reading, and spending time with my loved ones.
