🌷🌷 We’re Blooming with Pride! 🌷🌷

We’re excited to share that yesterday, Sarah Reed Senior Living received the 2026 Civic Beautification Award for Medium Garden from the Erie County Council of Garden Clubs! 🏆

Accepting the award were Anthony Kruszewski, Forefront Maintenance Technician, and Brad Gowetski, Allegheny College volunteer, who helped plant more than 4,000 tulips last fall! 🌷 Their hard work transformed our campus into a beautiful springtime display for our residents, staff, families, and community to enjoy.

This wonderful project was made possible through a grant received by the Sisters of St. Joseph’s Neighborhood Network.

A special thank-you to the Lawrence Park Gardening Club for nominating us and to the Erie County Council of Garden Clubs for this wonderful recognition!

We are so proud to see this project blossom and hope these beautiful tulips continue to brighten our campus and community for years to come! 💐

Last week, our residents gathered on the patio for a campfire sing-along—and this time, we made it extra special with a S’mores Night!

Our creative kitchen team served delicious S’mores Parfaits, which paired perfectly with the music, the cozy atmosphere, and the unusually warm weather.

We are enjoying our new patio as much as possible while the weather holds. It was a magical evening that made us feel like one big, happy family!

Our residents are still enjoying the new patio when the weather allows! Recently, residents have enjoyed outdoor games like bocce and axe throwing. We held a fun luau, and even though it was a bit windy, residents still enjoyed being outdoors! The luau featured delicious food and a themed lottery with prizes; each attendee left with their own bag of party favors. On a couple of other days recently, residents also listened to (and sang along with) live music while relaxing on the patio. We are hoping to have s'mores by the fire next week! Let's hope the weather stays kind just a little longer 😊.

What a great collaboration for our Not-So-ScareyCrow. Our residents created this Scarecrow with assistance from Maintenance, Volunteers and donations from family and staff. What a fun transition from summer to fall.

🤡Who is clowning around? Our residents are, with help from Daffodilly and Snickerz of the ERIEsistable Clowns. It was a delightful afternoon, complete with skits, balloon animals, and even a pie in the face!🤡

What a wonderful treat for our residents. A huge thanks to Rob Wilson and his crew from At the Lake Ministries for providing a special charter so our residents could enjoy a beautiful day on Presque Isle Bay. A few residents even tried fishing!
