Be Brave Speech Therapy, Inc. is growing, and we’re looking for a compassionate, motivated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team either in Escondido OR anywhere in San Diego County if wanting to work only within the early intervention population!

This job is for you if:
1. You like working with kids!
2. You like variety - seeing kids in home for early intervention, at private schools, in a clinic setting, and online!
3. You enjoy collaborating with parents and seeing them in all their child's sessions!
4. You like flexibility - for example... see 3 kids in homes in the morning, have a 2 hour lunch break to get errands done/relax, see 2 kids in private schools, and then head to the clinic to see 1 online session and 1 in-person session at the clinic...

This kiddo worked so hard on mastering the R sound. R is such a tricky sound and this kid put in the work to graduate in record time! If you have a kiddo that struggles with R, now is the perfect sign that seeking earlier intervention is better than later. 😊

Graduation day for this playful 17-month-old!

I don’t offer advocacy services at my private practice but does! I love displaying her brochures in my waiting room area so that families we service at BBST can have options, especially if struggling with school services. Thankful that He rose from the grave so that I may have eternal life! A personal update from my family… Elise got a helmet almost 2 months ago, time has flown by… it was really hard for me but I’m thankful that she has taken well to it and is making progress! Hopefully only 2 more months to go! ✝️

Spring is the perfect time to build language skills during outdoor play. Nature walks are full of opportunities to model new vocabulary, expand your child’s words, and encourage conversation.

Try labeling what you see, expanding your child’s words into longer phrases, and asking simple questions during your walk. I'm actively doing this when I talk walks with my 1-year old!! (aghhh, still can't believe she's 1 now).

Little moments like these help language grow naturally.

Can you believe that it's already spring?? I sure can't. This week will be starting spring activities for your kiddo.

Scatter paper flowers on the table and place a small bowl in the center to be your garden basket. Each flower can have a speech task such as answering a WH-question, repeating a target word, or practicing a speech sound.

Take turns flipping flowers and completing each task before adding it to the garden.

Along the way, encourage turn-taking language like:
• “My turn!”
• “Your turn!”
• “Can I go next?”

This simple activity can target articulation, language, and social communication while keeping learning playful.
