Sometimes what brings you into a chiropractor’s office isn’t the reason you stay.

For this family, a car accident brought them to Future Generations with broken ribs, pain, and a feeling that something was physically off. But what they found was a completely different way of looking at health, one that goes beyond simply chasing symptoms.

At Future Generations, we look at how the nervous system and the body are adapting to stress so we can better understand what may be happening beneath the surface and support the body’s ability to heal and adapt.

What started as a response to an accident became the beginning of a whole new perspective on their family’s health.

If you’re ready to look deeper than the symptom, schedule an appointment at Future Generations Clinic of Chiropractic and discover what’s possible for your health.

This week’s Patient of the Week spotlight is the Khuu family, a family of five who have been part of Future Generations Clinic of Chiropractic since 2024.

The Khuu family first came to us after a car accident, beginning their journey with corrective care as a family. Rather than navigating that season individually, they chose to prioritize their health and well-being together.

Through their commitment to consistent care, the entire family has made meaningful progress and has now transitioned from corrective care into wellness care.

One of our favorite things about caring for families is seeing everyone come through the doors together. The Khuu family’s journey is a beautiful reminder that wellness can become something a family builds together, creating healthy habits and a shared commitment to taking care of themselves.

Congratulations to the Khuu family! We’re so proud of the dedication you’ve shown throughout your journey and grateful to have the opportunity to care for all five of you.

If your family is ready to make health and wellness a priority together, reach out to our team to learn more about how neurologically focused chiropractic care can support your family’s journey.

We spend months preparing for birth, but postpartum often gets reduced to one message: get back to normal.

But postpartum isn’t something you need to rush through. It’s a massive transition for both mother and baby, and it deserves just as much preparation, support, nourishment, and rest as pregnancy and birth.

I love this reminder that you can’t spoil a newborn, and you can’t spoil a postpartum mom. The extra meals, the help around the house, the time in bed, the support with breastfeeding, the permission to slow down. None of it is excessive.

If anything, we need to normalize giving mothers MORE during this window, not expecting them to immediately give more of themselves.

Save this for your postpartum season, and send it to a mom who deserves to feel supported instead of pressured to bounce back.

Love and appreciate you all ⚡❤🔥

Life can throw a lot at the body at once. A big move, disrupted routines, less sleep, more stress, and yet the nervous system can still show meaningful progress.

This scan review is a great example of why we look beyond how someone feels on a given day. Sleep, movement, comfort, proprioception, spinal patterns, and HRV can all provide pieces of the bigger picture.

There was some expected ebb and flow through a period of significant stress, but the latest scans showed improved autonomic reserve and a stronger ability to adapt to stress compared with earlier measurements.

That’s the bigger goal of root cause focused care: not simply chasing symptoms, but understanding patterns, tracking changes over time, and helping the body become more adaptable.

Your progress doesn’t have to be perfectly linear to be meaningful.

If you want to better understand what your nervous system may be communicating, schedule an assessment and start your own care journey.

Health isn’t something we should only think about when something goes wrong.

Supporting your child while they’re feeling good can help create a strong foundation for everything that comes next. It’s about being proactive, paying attention to how their body is functioning, and giving them the support they need as they grow and change.

At Future Generations Clinic, we believe family care should be about more than addressing problems. Our approach is centered on supporting the body’s ability to adapt, develop, and thrive.

Give your child’s health a strong foundation from the start. Schedule a visit with Future Generations Clinic today.

Progress isn’t always a straight line, and it doesn’t always mean every measurement gets “better” at the same time.

Sometimes, as the nervous system changes, patterns that were previously less visible become easier to identify. That can give us a better understanding of where stress may still be present and where care can be more targeted.

In this case, there was significant improvement in tension, sleep, emotional regulation, and the overall EMG pattern, while the latest scans highlighted a few areas worth continuing to monitor. Her HRV also remained in a healthy range, with some expected variation.

That’s the value of tracking these patterns over time. Root cause focused care is about understanding the bigger picture, not chasing a single number or expecting perfection at every visit.

If your child is struggling with stress, sleep, tension, or regulation, share this with a parent who may need to see it, or schedule an assessment today using the link in our bio to better understand what their nervous system may be communicating.

What if your child’s health wasn’t something that needed to be constantly fixed?

What if our role was to create the conditions that allow their body to do what it was designed to do: grow, adapt, regulate, and thrive?

Healthy development isn’t just about addressing problems when they appear. It’s about supporting the nervous system and the body’s ability to adapt from the very beginning.

At Future Generations Clinic, we take a root-cause approach to family wellness, helping create a foundation for your child to thrive at every stage of development.

If you want to support your child’s health from the inside out, schedule an appointment with Dr. Stanton Hom through the link in our bio.

We’ve become so good at adapting to unhealthy environments that we sometimes forget to ask whether we should be adapting to them at all.

The stress.

The screens.

The sitting.

The processed food.

The constant stimulation.

The lack of sleep.

The disconnection from nature and from each other.

Then we wonder why so many people don’t feel well.

And here’s the thing..

Your nervous system is constantly taking in information from the world around you.

When life becomes one long stream of stress, stimulation, and disconnection, regulation can become harder.. not because your body is “broken”, but because it’s constantly being asked to respond.

This isn’t about fear.

It’s about awareness.

Your body was designed to interact with the world..
not be disconnected from it.

So question the habits.
Question the environment.
Question the “normal”.

Because normal and healthy are not always the same thing.

And if we want healthier future generations, we have to start being brave enough to rethink what we’re handing them.

Be honest.. what’s one “normal” part of modern life that you think our nervous systems were never meant to deal with??

Sometimes progress isn’t about everything being “perfect.” It’s about understanding what’s changing and what still needs attention.

In this scan review, we can see meaningful improvement in overall energy expenditure and muscular asymmetry, while other areas are still showing signs of tension and stress. That distinction matters because it gives the care team a clearer picture of what the body may be compensating for.

This is where root cause focused care becomes important. Instead of simply chasing a symptom, these scans can help provide insight into patterns within the nervous system and musculoskeletal system so care can be more specific and intentional.

The goal isn’t to promise a quick fix. It’s to better understand what the body is communicating, track changes over time, and use that information to guide the next step in the care journey.

Better information can lead to better decisions about care.
