Just over a year ago, I remember sitting up at night crying, trying to decide if I wanted to uproot my comfort zone for something I dreamed of.
I remember telling Lisa, "no. I can't do it."
I thought half my clients would leave me. I thought I wouldn't be able to pay my bills.
Yet, something kept telling me to jump. To trust it.
So... I jumped.
And now I'm sitting here, a year from one of the scariest decisions I've made, feeling like I've almost forgotten the fears I once had. Feeling like I'm even more at home than I ever imagined I could be, yet again.
If you'd have asked me 10 years ago if I thought I would own my own business, I would have laughed. This was never the plan.
But it is definitely the dream!!
Thank you to my clients, old and new! To my OG's who tell me they will follow me just about anywhere, and to the newbies who fight all my old heads for spots in the lineup! It's cuz of you guys that I get to live the dream. In massage school they taught us not to be friends with our clients. But truth be told, sometimes I see my clients more regularly and more often than I get to see my friends. My clients and I share memories, life updates, heartache and grief with each other. You are all my friends. I share in joy with you. I feel your pains with you. We are connected. And I am deeply grateful for the trust and love we share.
Thank you, Lisa, for trusting in me, for believing in my potential, for not getting mad when I break sinks or floor tiles or whatever... (shoutout maintenance mannnn π
) thanks for ebbing and flowing with me, learning me, loving me. This is such a beautiful marriage. Especially when we move things around quietly, after the other one moves it. Or when I let you make all the decisions, like a good husband π I love you so much.
