The internet is an amazing tool--you can find pretty much anything you need to know with just a few keystrokes.

That being said, it's important to ask the right questions and to be aware of how our own biases and needs can steer the answers we receive (oddly enough, sometimes AI wants to make you happy and be your friend, so it might tell you what you want to hear based on how you ask the question). And that's why it's important to still have a real LIVE chat with humans who have actual experience with whatever it is you're wanting to learn about.

That's why I offer a free consultation for anyone who is considering adding acupuncture to their health and wellness regimen.

Hey--I'm an acupuncturist--of course I want you to strongly consider coming in and getting started with treatments.

But as a health care provider with over 30 years of experience in Western and integrative health care models, I am even more interested in making sure you get the care you actually need.

Is acupuncture for everyone? Obviously not, but many people do benefit, even those who are skeptical when they first get started.

So feel free to look around, ask AI a few questions, and then take a moment and come in to talk to a living, breathing professional.

Afterwards, you'll be educated, and you can decide what will work best for you...you're the only one who knows what that is, after all.

I've been thinking a lot about community recently. Right now, I'm sitting with a couple of friends/business colleagues doing a "work party". We started by stating our goals for this session, and we are each quietly working on our tasks.

Where is the value? Why didn't we just stay home and do it on our own? We could have saved the time and gas it required to meet at a predetermined place, right?

Yes, true.

AND we would have missed out on the collective energy we bring to the table. Each of us working to achieve goals we have set for ourselves, but in doing the work TOGETHER--there is MAGIC in that.

And who couldn't use a little magic in their lives?
