Residences at the Essex

The Rain did not stop our senior community at Freeman woods from having our block party! We had food, ice cream and camaraderie.
It was great to see our neighbors, meet new people and hang out with the First Responders. Everyone in the Essex community is a valuable friend.
Thank you to everyone who could attend and helped organize this event!!!

Today the Residents enjoyed creating their own Flower arrangements. It was a nice little gathering and I loved watching how each person put theirs together.

Today the students from the yellow tulip project came to see how the Residents and tulips were doing! We had good conversation, snacks and talked about the future of yellow tulip, with new students coming in. Some of the students are off to high school and will miss the project, while a few others still have another year. Some of them will be back in the fall to help us prepare for the winter harvest. We look forward to seeing them again. Before they left we were given a jar of uplifting sayings that each of the students wrote, we are to take a note and leave a note. We were also gifted some beautiful rocks that the team had designed, to put around the garden.

On Thursday April 30th the Residences Team attended the reason for Hope Gala for Alzheimer’s awareness. It was a great event and we were honored to attend.

Wednesday the Residents enjoyed a wonderful Easter lunch. After lunch we had a special guest of ukulele players! Ukes r us! It was such a wonderful afternoon and the residents really enjoyed themselves.
