๐Ÿ’™ Celebrating a Wonderful Community Partner ๐Ÿ’™

We were honored to attend the open house of the new The Dubin Center and celebrate this exciting milestone with their team!

It was a wonderful afternoon spent reconnecting with familiar faces, meeting new friends, and seeing firsthand the incredible space they have created to support individuals and families navigating dementia.

We are proud to support the Dubin Center and especially excited to sponsor their multimedia room. Partnerships like these help strengthen the resources, education, and support available throughout our community.

Congratulations to the entire Dubin Center team on this beautiful new chapter. We look forward to many years of working together to support families and raise awareness about dementia. ๐Ÿ’™

June is Brain Awareness Month.

There is one habit the research keeps coming back to: stay engaged with people, sound, and music. The brain stays responsive to the people around it for a remarkable length of time, even after a dementia diagnosis.

This is one of the reasons we structure days around music, conversation, and shared activities. The science is consistent. The faces tell us it works.

Try this at home: same time every day, put on music your loved one used to play. Sit with them. That is the activity. ๐Ÿ’™

A little music can brighten the whole room. ๐Ÿ’™

We loved seeing this sweet interaction between a resident and caregiver, singing, dancing, and simply enjoying the afternoon together. ๐ŸŽถ

Today we honor the veterans in our community, the men and women who served, and the families who still stand beside them.

We are grateful for the chance to know them, to learn from them, and to care for them now. ๐Ÿ’™

A good memory care tour will show you the dining room, the activity calendar, and the model unit. A great tour will also tell you what we do not say out loud.

Five things to notice that almost no one points out:

1. The smell. Not what the cleaning crew uses, but what is underneath it.
2. The dining room sound level at lunchtime. Loud means overstimulating means agitation.
3. Whether staff make eye contact with residents, not with you.
4. The hallway lighting after 4pm. Shadows trigger sundowning. Real memory care design knows that.
5. What happens when no one is looking. Walk past a doorway. What is the staff doing when they think the tour has moved on?

These are not the questions on the website. They are the ones that will tell you the truth. ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ’™ Celebrating Nurses Week ๐Ÿ’™

This week, weโ€™re honoring the incredible nurses who care for our residents and support families with compassion, patience, and dedication every single day.

To all the nurses in Lee and Collier County, thank you for the heart you bring to your work and the difference you make in the lives of so many. Your kindness, strength, and commitment do not go unnoticed.

We are so grateful for everything you do, not just this week, but every day. ๐Ÿ’™

We had the joy of celebrating Motherโ€™s Day at Gulf Coast Memory Care with a little extra pampering and appreciation for the incredible mothers in our community. ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’™

We put together a short video capturing some of the special moments shared throughout the celebration, filled with smiles, connection, laughter, and love.

We are so grateful for the mothers who have shaped families, friendships, and lives in so many meaningful ways. It was an honor to celebrate them and make them feel as special as they truly are.

We hope you enjoy this sweet look at our Motherโ€™s Day celebration!!

Memory care is not the last chapter.

It is the chapter where your loved one gets to be surrounded by people who understand them. Where they make friends on the same cognitive level. Where every day has structure, purpose, and joy.

The families who come to us often say the same thing: "I wish we had done this sooner. They are happier here than they have been in years."

If you are thinking about it, that is enough reason to start the conversation.
