“ wherever there is a human in need, there is an opportunity for kindness and to make a difference”

One of our residents family members took the time to hand paint these beautiful stones with words of encouragement for our residents.

This small act of kindness brought so much joy. Thank you so much.

We are blessed to have such loving families here at Gateway Family House.

Yesterday our resident Perry Sandella took out his recorded player, and we had ourselves a “shake that quarantine blues” dance party.

Since he could remember he has been collecting records.
“ I love music, it’s everthing to me” he said with a smile.

His love for music grew, and in 1989 he was a dj at a local night club in Ashtabula Ohio.

While chatting with the activity director Carla, he came up with the idea to play for the other residents here at Gateway Family House.

What an absolute joy it was to see our residents and staff dancing and singing.

And a big thank you to Mr Sandella for donating his time, doing something he loves to bring joy to others.
