If someone is overdosing and you call 911 to get help, you and they will not be charged with drug possession or drug use. Oregon drug laws have changed, but the Oregon Good Samaritan law has not changed and still protects overdose witnesses and patients. If you see someone overdosing please call 911 and if you have it, give them Narcan as soon as possible. You should call 911 even if they have been given Narcan because Narcan is short acting and the person needs additional monitoring after the dose is given. Last year, Eugene Police administered Narcan to possibly overdosing individuals 400 times (measured by replacements). When police respond to calls regarding overdoses, neither the caller nor the patient is charged with drug possession or drug use.

What an honor it was to teach CPR/First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens at Everyone Village in Eugene.

Exciting news! 🤗

After months of meetings and planning, my company has secured a contract with the 4J School District to provide monthly CPR and safety training for teachers, staff, volunteers, and others within the district.

I’m so grateful for the opportunity to serve this community and for everyone who has supported my business along the way. 🙏🏽

P.S. A little serendipitous twist…my first 2 classes will be with Special Education Assistants. Anyone who knows me knows that my first passion has always been working with individuals with disabilities, so this feels especially meaningful and full circle. 🥹🫶🏽

Nearly half the CPR class tonight were students who have taken my class before. So cool to see so many students filter back through!
