Dr Mando ran another ultra trail marathon over the weekend!

The McKenzie River Trail run is 31 miles on one of the prettiest trails in America. It traces a route along the beautiful McKenzie River, with two spectacular waterfalls, a lake so pristine it is called Clear Lake, lava flows, old growth forest, numerous log bridges and the aquamarine colored Tamolitch Pool where the the river flows from an underground lava tube. The race offers runners a technically challenging course with only moderate elevation gains and the inspiration of some of Oregon's most breathtaking scenery.

This year’s race was the 38th annual running of the McKenzie River Trail Run, making it Oregon's oldest continuous ultramarathon. Net proceeds from the race are used to support the McKenzie Bridge area non-profits.

Spring in Oregon brings longer days and blooming landscapes, but it also brings increased exposure to tree pollen, grass, and environmental allergens that can impact your eyes.

Symptoms such as itching, redness, tearing, and a gritty sensation are often signs of allergic conjunctivitis. These symptoms can become more noticeable during peak allergy seasons across the Pacific Northwest.

A comprehensive ophthalmologic evaluation can help distinguish allergies from other eye conditions and guide appropriate treatment to improve comfort and protect the ocular surface.

Managing exposure and addressing symptoms early can make a meaningful difference throughout the season.
