We rise together. πŸ’›

When someone in our community needs support, we come together.

This Saturday, August 22, join us for An Evening for Renee, a special gathering of yoga, healing, and community in support of our longtime Wild Light student and friend Renee as she continues her healing journey with cancer.

πŸ”₯ 6:00–7:00 PM | Warm Vinyasa Flow with Karan Estee
✨ 7:15–7:30 PM | Healing Circle + guided Reiki-style group meditation with Elizabeth Reed

This gathering is donation-based with a $20 minimum donation, and all funds go directly to Renee.

Come move, breathe, gather, and help us surround Renee with the strength of this community.

You know the pose. πŸ˜…

The one you see coming and immediately think, "Not this again."

But that's part of the beauty of yoga. We return to the poses that challenge us, breathe through the resistance, and notice what changes over time.

Some days we push. Some days we soften. Some days simply staying present is the practice.

And eventually, that pose you once dreaded might be where you realize just how far you've come. πŸ”₯

Which yoga pose always humbles you? πŸ‘‡

What do you need from your practice today?

Some days, we come to the mat ready to work. Other days, we need an hour to breathe, move, and quiet everything else for a while.

Whatever brought you to your mat today, there's room for it.

So, Wild Light... what kind of yoga day are you having? Drop your answer below. πŸ‘‡

A new month doesn't ask us to become someone new. It simply offers another opportunity to return to what matters most.

In yoga, we call this a practice because there is no finish line. Each day is another chance to breathe deeply, move intentionally, let go of what no longer serves us, and begin again.

As you move through these prompts, take a moment to check in with yourself. There are no right or wrong answers, only an invitation to reflect.

What's one intention you're carrying into August?

Share it in the comments. You never know who might be encouraged by your words. πŸ’š

Every strong practice begins with strong roots.

ROOTS is more than a Yoga Teacher Training. It is an invitation to deepen your understanding of yoga, reconnect with yourself, and build a foundation that supports you both on and off the mat.

Led by Laura Black, this Yoga Alliance Certified 200-hour training weaves together classical yoga teachings with anatomy, neuroscience, psychology, breathwork, meditation, and mindful teaching methodology. Whether you hope to teach or simply want to immerse yourself more fully in the practice, ROOTS is designed to meet you where you are and help you grow from there.

πŸ‚ Begins September 2026
🌿 Nine immersive weekends through December
πŸ’³ Payment plans available

Could your yoga practice be doing more for your brain than you realize? 🧠πŸ”₯

Emerging research is exploring the connection between regular heat exposure, yoga, and healthy aging. Large population studies have linked frequent sauna use with a lower risk of Alzheimer's disease, while decades of yoga research continue to show benefits for stress reduction, balance, memory, and overall cognitive well being.

It's important to remember that research has not shown that hot yoga prevents Alzheimer's disease. Current findings are promising, but they show associations and potential mechanisms rather than proven cause and effect.

What we do know is this: moving your body, calming your nervous system, supporting your heart, and creating consistent wellness habits all contribute to a healthier life.

That's why we practice.

Starting something new can feel intimidating, especially when it's a room full of people who seem like they already know what they're doing. The truth is, every single yogi started with their very first class.

At Wild Light, we believe yoga is for every body, every age, and every stage of life. You don't need to be flexible, experienced, or "good at yoga." You just need a willingness to show up.

If you've been thinking about trying a class, consider this your invitation. We can't wait to welcome you.
