Have you heard of the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP)? 🎧

We offer SSP here at CTD, and it can be a helpful support for a range of needs related to regulation, sound sensitivity, stress, and connection.

And it’s not just for little ones! SSP is available for ages 4 and up (yes, adults, too!).

Our friends at Unyte shared this case study about one child’s experience with SSP, and we wanted to pass it along!

We’re not crying… 🥹😭

This is what therapy is all about. Communication, connection, and helping kids find ways to express themselves and connect with the people they love. Hearing a child use AAC to tell their mom “I love you” for the first time? That’s a pretty special therapy moment.🩷

October is AAC Awareness Month, so we’re celebrating the many ways AAC can help kids communicate, participate, and be understood. 🟣🔵🟢
