The paternity of a pregnancy can be a significant influence in someone's decisions. There are a few ways to determine paternity. Determining the gestational age of a pregnancy and an estimated date of conception can help, but it is not always 100% accurate. Options such as Non-Invasive Prenatal Paternity Test (NIPP), which can be safely conducted during as early as week 7 of pregnancy, or postpartum paternity testing can decisively determine paternity.

During ovulation, you may experience what's called "mittelschmerz", the German term for ovulation pain. Only about 40% of women experience this, but it isn't necessarily an indicator of a health issue. If you have concerns about your pain during ovulation, talk to your medical provider about what testing may be available to rule out conditions like endometriosis or ovarian cysts.
