On August 2, I’ll be at the Center for Sacred Sciences in Eugene, Oregon, to speak about a topic that sits at the center of my research and my own personal journey: the relationship between the mind, the brain, and what I call extraordinary knowing.

We’ll look at what decades of neuroscience research reveal when held alongside the kind of direct, first-person experiences that mainstream science so often sets aside. I believe these two ways of knowing are not in conflict. They are, in fact, deeply complementary.

If you are in the area, I would love to see you there in person. We'll also be streaming via Zoom from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM (PT), so you can join us from anywhere.

"Selflessness is the Truth to which all mystics bear witness. Selflessness is the Way by which this Truth can be Realized. And Selflessness is the Fruit of that Realization."
-Joel Morwood, author of The Way of Selflessness
