Florence Marie Bihm

It is with heavy hearts and deep love that we announce the passing of Florence Marie Bihm, affectionately known by many as “Flo,” on Monday, August 24, 2026. While her passing leaves a great void in the hearts of those who loved her, we are grateful for the memories, laughter, and special moments she shared with her family throughout her life.

Visitation will be held at Ardoin Funeral Home in Eunice on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. A rosary will be prayed at 12:00 p.m., followed by Mass at 1:00 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father Randy Moreau presiding. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.

Flo had a way of finding happiness in the things she loved and making those little moments part of what made her so special. She enjoyed spending time coloring, carefully creating pictures and enjoying the simple pleasure of choosing her favorite colors. She also loved collecting Beanie Babies, taking pride in her collection and the many little treasures that brought her joy. Flo never turned down a good snack and had a special appreciation for the treats she enjoyed. She loved curling her hair and taking time to make herself feel beautiful, listened to hip hop music, and could always enjoy a good football game. Above all, Flo loved being surrounded by her nieces and nephews. The time she spent with them was especially meaningful, and the memories they made together will be cherished by her family for years to come.

She is survived by her beloved nieces and nephews: Glen Bihm and wife, Diane; Dana Bihm LeJeune and husband, Dwayne; Mark Miller and wife, Josette; Dave Miller and significant other, Dodie; Steve Miller and wife, Pam; Regina Fontenot and husband, Allen; Ricky Sattler and wife, Janet; Marion “Nootsa” Sattler and wife, Lori; Todd Sattler and wife, Sheila; Randy Bihm and wife, Missy; Angie Bihm McCall; Scott Bihm and wife, Terri; and Mitch Bihm and wife, Shannon.

She is also survived by her numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, who will forever carry the memories and love they shared with her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Octavia Bihm; her brothers, Al “Red” Bihm, Lenard “Noonie” Bihm, and Charles Bihm; her sisters, Jane Bihm Miller, Rita Bihm Sattler, and Cecile Bihm Miller; her niece, Paula Bihm; and her nephew, Kirk Bihm.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Oaklane Nursing Home and the nurses of Hope Hospice for the exceptional care, compassion, and kindness they showed Flo during her final days. Your care and support will always be remembered and appreciated by her family.

While a will helps ensure your legal wishes are carried out, funeral preplanning allows you to make important personal decisions in advance, easing the burden on those you love during an already difficult time. Together, they create a thoughtful plan for the future and peace of mind for your family.

Have you ever wondered where the term pallbearer comes from?

The word "pall" originally referred to the decorative cloth that was draped over a casket during funeral processions. Centuries ago, the individuals chosen to accompany the casket often carried or supported the pall itself, rather than the casket.

Over time, the role evolved, and today a pallbearer is someone selected to help carry or es**rt the casket as a final act of honor, respect, and love for a family member or friend.
