🏥Greenwood County Hospital is proud to announce that we have earned accreditation through the Center for Improvement in Healthcare Quality (CIHQ)! ✨

GWCH meets the federal standards required to participate in Medicare and Medicaid. We chose to take it a step further by undergoing CIHQ's rigorous accreditation process, which included on-site surveys, patient care observations, medical record reviews, staff interviews, and facility inspections.

We are proud to have successfully met these high standards, including Life Safety compliance requirements, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to providing safe, high-quality healthcare close to home.

This achievement reflects the dedication of our entire team and our commitment to continuous improvement for the patients and communities we serve.

Thank You, Greenwood County! ❤️

On behalf of Greenwood County Hospital, thank you to everyone who joined us on June 3rd to celebrate our 70th Anniversary.

It was a wonderful afternoon spent reconnecting with friends, sharing memories, exploring historical photos and artifacts, and reflecting on the people and moments that have shaped GWCH over the past seven decades.

We are especially grateful to the Greenwood County Historical Museum for loaning Mrs. Garver's nursing uniform and to the GWCH Auxiliary for sharing historical books that helped bring our hospital's story to life. A special thank you as well to Dr. Skaer and the many former and current staff members, patients, volunteers, and community members who stopped by to celebrate with us.

For 70 years, Greenwood County Hospital has been supported by an incredible community. Your trust, support, and commitment have helped us continue providing care close to home, and we are honored to serve Greenwood County for generations to come.

This resource is available for identified patients through our Clinics, Home Health, and In-Patient/Out-Patient services.
