Often, when folks use the term ‘rosin’, they mean live rosin but these are definitely different products.
The key difference between live rosin and rosin is in the starting plant material.
Live rosin is extracted from what we call “fresh frozen” plant material, ideally the juiciest buds blanketed with the most trichomes. This material is called “fresh frozen” because as soon as the plants are harvested they are flash frozen to preserve the full spectrum of cannabinoids and terpenes.
Regular rosin, on the other hand, is extracted from dried flowers, or more specifically from the hash or kief that was extracted from traditionally harvested dry plant material.
Fresh frozen harvesting and processing is much more difficult than “the old fashioned way”, but once you have experienced the elevated flavor and effects that are delivered by the monoterpenes found live rosin, the extra effort, and slightly higher prices, make sense.
Our RoseXotics Live Rosin is really gaining traction here in the Cali connoisseur scene as these seasoned heads can recognize the fact that I grow the plants, I perform the extractions, and I have been doing both of those things for a long time here in Humboldt County.
Live rosin is a clean, effective way to medicate with cannabis as the higher cananbinoid levels mean less hits are needed to get you where you are trying to go. We are taking top quality hash and then squeezing the best of the best out of that and the results are nothing short of phenomenal.
