❤️ Sometimes education goes beyond just learning… sometimes it touches your heart. ❤️
Yesterday and today, I had the privilege of being alongside Lisa Moore as she educated families, patients, and staff members about Alzheimer’s and dementia.
Let me tell you something… Lisa is AMAZING at what she does! ❤️ Her knowledge, her compassion, and the way she helps people truly understand what someone living with Alzheimer’s or dementia experiences is something special.
She doesn’t just stand in front of a room and talk. She helps you put yourself in their shoes and see the world through their eyes.
Today was especially emotional for me. We had someone living with Alzheimer’s in the room who began sharing how she feels and what she experiences. Watching her become emotional as she opened up absolutely broke my heart. I actually had to step out of the room because the tears were rolling down my face.
It was one of those moments that will stay with me. ❤️
One thing I want everyone to understand is that education is SO important! There are things we can start doing NOW to support our brain health, learn about risk factors, and better understand Alzheimer’s and dementia. Knowledge gives us the opportunity to be more prepared, more compassionate, and better equipped to help those we love.
And that’s exactly why we do what we do!
