Did you know? Most of us have these microscopic mites living in our eyelash follicles. At night, they come out for a gentle stroll along your lashes, feeding on dead skin cells and oils.
Common signs of overgrowth (usually when numbers get too high):
• Itchy or irritated eyelids
• Redness or flaking around the lash line
• Crusty or dandruff-like buildup at the base of lashes
• Burning or gritty feeling in the eyes
If things feel off, it’s worth chatting with an eye doctor — simple treatments can help!
In the meantime… if you’re ever up at night feeling lonely, just remember a whole little community thinks your eyelashes are prime real estate. 🥹
