A big congratulations to for taking on the 2026 Chicago Marathon! 🏅👏

On Sunday, runners representing Special Children's Charities went the distance to support a mission centered on inclusion, opportunity, and community for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

We're proud to partner with Special Children's Charities to support the well-being of the individuals and families they serve through Creative Arts Therapy.

Our CEO, Jeffrey Wolfe, was there to cheer on the runners, and we're excited to join in celebrating their incredible accomplishment!

We were grateful to join Special Children's Charities yesterday evening for Skyline Social Chicago, their annual fundraising event supporting programs and opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Chicago.

During the evening, SCC recognized its partner programs, including the Creative Arts Therapy program offered in partnership with ITA. It was meaningful to hear this work acknowledged and to be reminded of what strong community partnerships can make possible.

Thank you to Special Children’s Charities and Executive Director Amy Taylor for welcoming our team and for your continued partnership. We are proud to work alongside SCC to expand access to Creative Arts Therapy in our community.

ITA’s Mission: Empowering individuals, families, and communities to grow and heal through advanced approaches in Creative Arts Therapy, setting the standard for treatment, practice and training within the field.

What We Do
ITA provides client-driven, strengths-based therapy through four primary Creative Arts Therapies: art, dance/movement, drama, and music therapy. Each service is led by a credentialed therapist with specialized training in their respective field — ensuring every individual receives expert, personalized care. We support people across the lifespan and from all walks of life — from young children to older adults, and from those navigating developmental or medical challenges to individuals seeking greater emotional wellness and connection.
We support individuals from birth through end of life, serving people across the lifespan and from all backgrounds and experiences. Our services are offered in a wide range of settings — including schools, clinics, hospitals, community centers, and via tele-health — to ensure Creative Arts Therapies are accessible, flexible, and responsive to each client’s unique needs.
