Mother’s Day may have passed, but that doesn’t mean self-care should.

It’s easy to pour your energy into caring for others and put your own needs on the back burner. But your body still deserves attention, not just one day a year.

Small, consistent habits like taking a walk, stretching, or simply slowing down can make a meaningful difference over time. And if your body is still feeling the effects of pregnancy, daily demands, or increasing activity, it’s worth paying attention.

Pain, weakness, or incontinence may be common, but they are not something you have to live with.

If you’re experiencing bladder urgency, frequency, or leakage, it’s not always just about the pelvic floor muscles.

Certain foods and drinks can irritate the bladder and make symptoms worse. Common irritants include coffee, black tea, carbonated beverages, vinegar, pineapple, and citrus fruits.

You don’t necessarily have to eliminate these completely, but understanding how they affect your body can be helpful in managing symptoms.

If you’re getting back into running this spring, it’s important to build gradually. 🏃‍♀️

Your core, hips, and pelvic floor all play a role in supporting your body during running. Jumping back in too quickly can increase your risk of pain or injury.

Start with shorter distances, consider walk/run intervals, and incorporate strength or cross-training.
