Indigenous Peoples' Day is an opportunity to recognize and appreciate the rich cultures, histories, traditions, and contributions of Indigenous peoples.
For young children, learning about the many people and perspectives that make up our communities can help nurture curiosity, respect, and an appreciation for others.

What does a typical day look like for a two-year-old at Toddler Town?

There's plenty of room in the day for learning, playing, resting, and simply being two. From morning arrival and breakfast to circle time, learning centers, outdoor play, lunch, nap, enrichment, and afternoon exploration, our toddler schedule balances predictable routines with opportunities to discover something new.

Those familiar routines can help little ones build confidence and independence while giving them plenty of opportunities to learn through play.

Two-year-olds are curious, busy, imaginative, and ready to discover how the world works.
At Toddler Town, our Toddler program gives these little learners room to explore through sensory experiences, hands-on activities, early language development, movement, and nurturing relationships. Teachers follow children's interests while creating opportunities to build confidence, communication skills, independence, and those important first friendships.

October is full of little opportunities to explore, create, and learn! 🍂

Try some preschool-friendly activities at home this month:
🍁 Go on a nature walk and collect colorful leaves
🎃 Create a pumpkin sensory bin with scoops, cups, and other safe materials
👻 Make silly monster faces with paper, crayons, and craft supplies
🌽 Practice counting with dried corn or fall-themed objects
🕷️ Build a spider web with yarn and see what shapes you can make

Simple activities like these encourage creativity, fine motor skills, early math, language, and plenty of imaginative play.
