🌟 RESIDENT SUCCESS STORY: MEET JOHN JACKSON! 🌟

Around here, we love celebrating progress—and John Jackson has given us so much to celebrate! 💙

John came to Columbia Healthcare Center after experiencing overall weakness and five falls in less than two months. At the time of admission, he needed assistance with activities of daily living, struggled with standing balance, and was unable to walk more than 50 feet even with the assistance of a rolling walker.

With hard work, determination, and the support of our therapy and nursing teams, John has made incredible progress. Today, he is able to safely walk more than 100 feet indoors AND outdoors with his rolling walker, and his standing balance while completing daily activities has improved significantly! 👏

And through it all, John has kept that wonderful smile on his face. 😊 As a jazz musician, he has also kept us entertained with stories from his life and music—we’ve loved getting to know the man behind the music! 🎷🎶

John, it has truly been our pleasure to be a part of your journey and watch you regain your strength and independence. Your progress is something to be proud of, and we are so thankful you chose Columbia Healthcare Center to be part of your recovery! 💙

Residents and staff celebrated National Water Park Day with a twist. 💦💙

Since we couldn’t make it to the water park, we brought the water park to us: snow cones, water balloons, water fights, games, and plenty of summer fun.

We even convinced our Director of Nursing, Cindy, to join in, and she quickly became the target of a surprise splash attack! She was a great sport, especially after seeing the ear-to-ear smiles all around. 😊💦

Meet our July Resident of the Month Mr. Bob Daniels! Bob has been a beloved resident at Columbia Healthcare Center since his first time here in November 2024! Bob is a U.S. Army Veteran, father, husband, and lover of classic rock music. 🇺🇸🎸

We asked Bob to give some life advice he would share with students heading into their senior year, and here is what he had to say...💙
