Sad day for Agape Sober Homes Inc. and for 11 men in recovery who had to leave a place they called home.

This sober home in Everett has now closed, forcing 11 residents to find another safe place to continue their recovery.

People sometimes see a sober home as just a building or a number of beds. For the residents, it can mean stability, accountability, friendships, routine, and a real chance to rebuild their lives.

These are the real challenges recovery housing organizations are facing while trying to keep quality homes open and affordable.

We need more conversation, more community support, and more long-term solutions for recovery housing in Everett and beyond.
