See that mountain top?! It’s Mt. Yale topping off at 14,000ft and it was my goal to climb this mountain after I conquered so many proverbial mountains after my injury and surgery this year! I had my cheerleaders, my fabulous husband and family and several friends along the way. I had many rehab providers who helped me get strong again. I also had many set backs but I kept putting one foot in front of the other, I wanted to get strong enough again to climb a mountain. Literally and figuratively. So this message is for you all…. The first step is the hardest. But if you keep putting one foot in Front of the other and keep trying you too will make it to the top if that mountain! This injury was humbling as a doctor but it taught me many lessons as a patient and provider and I know it has made me a more compassionate doctor. giveup
