My first baby turned my ni***es to ground beef and I didn’t see a lactation consultant for over a week.
I didn’t know help existed, let alone that I needed it.
I was weepy — more than felt normal — but everyone told me it was just baby blues. It wasn’t until my second was born, tears nowhere in sight, that I realized how hard the first time actually was.
Once I finally got help? A tongue tie identified, a release, immediate relief. Everything changed.
And somewhere in between my first experience and my second — which needed all of it, body work, follow-up care, the whole journey — I realized how profoundly the right help at the right time changes everything.
That’s what made me want to do this work. To be a part of people’s village. To be the person who shows up before it gets hard — or right when it does.
If you’re in the thick of it right now, or you want support before baby even arrives — I’m here.
