Day 17 of Chanting to 64 rounds of the Maha Mantra

Yesterday I only made it halfway! Today I hope to do the full 64.

The deeper lesson is that spiritual strength is not simply having no desires—it is learning who is in control. When the senses pull the mind toward temporary pleasure, bhakti teaches us to redirect that energy toward Kṛṣṇa.

The senses can become either your master or your instrument. 🌿

🌺 Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam — Deeper Reflection

“The supreme occupation for all humanity is that by which men can attain to loving devotional service unto the transcendent Lord.”
— Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 1.2.6

Go deeper:
The Bhāgavatam teaches that real success is not simply getting what we want from life—it is discovering who we truly are beyond the temporary identities we carry.

We may search for love, recognition, wealth, relationships, beauty, or freedom, but these things cannot permanently satisfy the soul because the soul naturally seeks an eternal relationship with the Supreme.

Bhakti begins when we stop asking, “What can Krishna give me?” and begin asking, “How can I serve Krishna with love?”

That shift transforms everything.

Even ordinary activities—working, cleaning, chanting, caring for others, creating, or simply walking through nature—can become spiritual when they are offered with devotion.

“Krishna, let me not live only for what I can receive. Teach me to live in loving service, with a heart that remembers You.”
