🌸During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we recognize the strength of all those who have battled breast cancer and we want to show our support… during October and beyond! While everyone has a different recovery, a patient should never face its challenges alone! Empower PT is here to help!

🌸We want to not only take time to show our support to those who have been impacted by breast cancer, but also to raise awareness for early detection, high-quality treatment, and to highlight the role that physical therapy can play in someone’s breast cancer journey. Many might not be aware, but physical therapy can play a vital role in a patient’s recovery from breast cancer.

🌿At Empower Physical Therapy, we are always looking for ways to enhance your care and offer new paths to strength, recovery, and overall wellness.

That is why we are thrilled to welcome a fantastic new independant provider to our Exton clinic: Amanda, RN, the founder of Parakletos Pilates!

Amanda is bringing her specialized 1:1 Pilates sessions right here into our main gym on Mondays and Thursdays.

If traditional gym workouts have ever felt a bit too intense, intimidating, or exhausting, this mindful approach to movement might be exactly what you are looking for. Pilates is uniquely effective because it focuses entirely on core stability, controlled breathing, and intentional alignment. Many exercises are done in comfortable, supported seated or horizontal positions—meaning you don't even have to stand up to build deep structural strength.

Amanda’s sessions are an open, welcoming space for anyone looking to build confidence in their body, including those managing:

Nervous system sensitivity, fatigue, or chronic conditions

Postural dizziness or lightheadedness when changing positions

Heart racing or sudden spikes in pulse during mild activity

General stiffness or weakness requiring a gentle, highly customized routine

A Medical Lens for Safe, Supportive Movement
What makes Amanda truly special is her background. As a Registered Nurse with over 15 years of ER/Trauma and rehab experience, she understands the body from a clinical perspective. She knows exactly how to respect your unique physical boundaries while helping you safely rebuild your stamina and confidence.

We love her approach to holistic movement, and we think you will too! Check out the pictures below to get a glimpse of her sessions in action.

Ready to get started this fall?
Spaces are limited for her Monday and Thursday openings. You can learn more or secure your spot by clicking the link below, or by joining an informative Zoom Meet&Greet!

🩶Roughly 1 in 3 women and 1 in 5 men aged 50 and older will suffer an osteoporotic fracture in their lifetime.

🦴Osteoporosis often progresses without pain or warning signs until a minor fall, bump, or movement causes a bone fracture.

💀Only about 20% of patients who suffer an osteoporotic fracture receive a proper diagnosis or follow-up treatment.

💛Would you like to learn about practical ways to help manage your osteoporosis? Our therapists are here to help guide the way! Please contact our office to schedule your appointment.
