Mental Toughness: Helpful, or Not So Much?

The Worst Parenting Advice? "Don't Take It Personally."

Most parents have heard this advice:
"Don't take your teenager's behavior personally."
I disagree.

If there's ongoing tension between you and your teen, it's worth taking personally—not as an insult, but as an invitation to get curious.

"We're arguing a lot lately, and I don't like how it feels. What could I do that would make things better between us?"

Parents don't have to be perfect. They do have to be willing to look honestly at themselves.
What do you think? Have you ever heard this advice?
