Patients and clinicians in NJ, we need your help! State Legislators need to hear from you.

A bill is currently in the NJ Senate that would reduce the burden of prior authorizations, making it easier for patients to get the care they need and for clinicians to provide that care.

Prior authorization is a process where clinicians have to get approval from insurance companies before they can order certain medications or treatments for their patients. This process can be time-consuming and burdensome, and it often leads to delays in care.

The NJ Senate bill would make a number of important reforms to prior authorizations, including:

* Requiring insurers to make decisions on prior authorization requests within a certain timeframe
* Limiting the number of times that insurers can request additional information from clinicians
These reforms would make it easier for patients to get the care they need and for clinicians to provide that care.

There is a zoom meeting on Sunday,October 1 at 8pm of a team of physicians and patients to help build this campaign and get this bill passed.
