Today, the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors presented a resolution recognizing November as National Family Caregivers Month and honoring Get Care At Home for its commitment to caregivers and the families they serve.

To our caregivers, families and community partners: thank you for your trust, support and commitment to compassionate care at home.

Supporting caregivers. Strengthening families. Expanding access to home care. That is the work, and we are grateful to do it beside you. 💚

If someone you love needs care at home, we are here: getcareathome.org

November is National Family Caregivers Month, and we are starting the month the best way we know how: by saying thank you.

To every spouse, daughter, son, neighbor and friend who shows up day after day with patience, tenderness and love, we see you. Caring for someone you love is beautiful work, and it is hard work, and nobody should have to carry it alone.

Here are a few places that exist to support you back:
💜 Del Oro Caregiver Resource Center offers free support groups, classes and respite care for Sacramento area caregivers: deloro.org
💜 Family Caregiver Alliance offers guides, webinars and help finding your next step: caregiver.org
💜 The AARP Caregiving Resource Center offers practical help for every stage of caregiving: aarp.org/caregiving

And if you ever need a hand at home, that is what we are here for. Happy National Family Caregivers Month from all of us at Get Care At Home.

What a day at the Oakmont of Westpark Resource Fair!

From blackberry scones and mini quiches to salmon avocado toasts and potato bites topped with fried quail eggs, the food was as wonderful as the company. Table after table of community partners sharing resources our seniors and families can actually use, all in one beautiful place, right down to a dining room that feels like a celebration all on its own.

This is what community looks like. Thank you, Oakmont of Westpark, for hosting such a great event. We had the best time! 💜
