A conversation most people in my profession won't have with you

My wife had a C-section. This is the story of how I ended up helping her.

There's the pain from the surgery itself, and then there's the nerve pain — a totally different animal that the medication doesn't always touch.
One morning she was hurting, I was scrambling with the kids, and half in a panic I grabbed one of my lasers and ran it over the area. A few minutes later, the pain backed off.

I figured it was a fluke. Then it happened again. And again.

It's a study of one — I won't pretend it proves anything. But these lasers were built for post-surgical pain, so maybe it makes sense.

Mostly I just keep landing on gratitude. Getting to reach for the very thing you happen to have and actually help the person you love most — I don't take that for granted.

Good luck to the Wapsie Valley Warriors tonight! 🖤💛🥎

This is a historic season for these girls! What an incredible accomplishment, and our entire community is proud of them!

We'll be cheering them on tonight, so we know many of you will be doing the same instead of making it to our Fat Loss Laser Open House.

Most men aren't lazy. They're spent.

The grind in your thirties and forties is real. Kids, wife, parents — all depending on you.

The guys I see work harder than anyone I know. They give everything to work, then whatever's left at home. By nine o'clock there's nothing, so they sit down with a phone and call it rest.

That's not a discipline problem. It's a capacity problem.

Your body only handles so much stress before something gives. And that load doesn't shrink. It compounds.

Nobody's life gets easier. Some men just get strong enough to carry it.

"You're fine." She'd heard it dozens of times. But she didn't feel fine.
So we skipped the guesswork and put her on the bike to see how her body actually handled stress. Something was off — so we ran a metabolic breath test, the kind that shows exactly how your body performs under load.
The data was clear. We sent it to the University of Iowa sports medicine team, and she finally got the help she needed.
This machine is the one thing in my office I bought for myself — to understand performance at a deeper level. Turns out it does a lot more than that.
