🔎 FOUND A LUMP OR BUMP? DON’T JUST GUESS WHAT IT IS.

We’ve probably all had that moment…

“Was that there before?” 👀

A new lump or bump under the skin can bring up a lot of questions. While many soft-tissue lumps can have non-serious causes, sometimes your healthcare provider may recommend imaging to get a better look.

That’s where soft-tissue ultrasound can help. 💚

Ultrasound uses sound waves — not radiation — to create real-time images beneath the skin and give your healthcare provider more information about what may be going on.

Soft-tissue ultrasound may be ordered to evaluate areas such as:

✨ A newly noticed lump or bump
✨ Swelling
✨ A changing area beneath the skin
✨ Certain suspected cysts or other soft-tissue concerns
✨ Areas your provider wants evaluated more closely

The important part? You don’t have to diagnose it yourself.

If you’ve noticed something new or something that has changed, talk with your healthcare provider about whether an ultrasound is appropriate.

Not every ultrasound is about pregnancy—and sometimes the smallest concern can leave you with the biggest questions.

If you or your healthcare provider notices a lump, bump, swelling, or unusual area beneath the skin, a soft-tissue ultrasound can provide a closer look at what’s happening below the surface.

Ultrasound may be used to evaluate areas such as:

When something doesn’t feel quite right with your urinary health, an ultrasound can help your healthcare provider get a clearer look at what may be happening—without radiation.

A renal and bladder ultrasound uses sound waves to create images of the kidneys and bladder and can provide valuable information for your healthcare provider.

Your provider may order this type of ultrasound when evaluating concerns such as:
