Alert!!!!

Dropping a curve from 23° down to 12.6°?! Now that is cause for celebration! 📉🎉💚

Luke and his family are celebrating the end of a big chapter in his scoliosis journey. Moments like these remind us why we do what we do every single day.

Brace adjustments are something I have to do often. About every one-two months, I need to have a few tweaks made to make my brace more comfortable.

In just 8 short weeks since my last appointment, I have grown 2 inches and gained 12 pounds! 😲

Like Dr. Luke said, my growth plates are still far from being closed, which means I still have a lot of growing left to do. Because of that, I was fitted for my new brace a few months earlier than expected!

Now for the fun part... what pattern do you think I'll choose for my new brace? 🤔💚💖

From Cambodia to Thailand, to Virginia, and now Germany... Eleanor’s scoliosis journey has literally taken her around the world! 🌍

When she was diagnosed in the 5th grade while living in Cambodia, her family had to navigate a lot of unknowns, getting her first brace in Thailand. Fast forward a bit—the family moves to McLean, VA, and starts Schroth PT with Eric at Schroth DC. Eric knew exactly who they needed to see next and introduced them to Kristian, our Senior Orthotist.

Mom told us that first meeting changed everything: "Kristian talked to us about his philosophy, but he also talked directly to Eleanor. It all just made sense. We finally understood why people come to NSC from all over the world." ❤️

Since then, Eleanor has been an absolute superstar. Now almost 15, she’s a competitive swimmer with an amazing group of supportive friends, and she wears her brace an average of 22 hours a day!

The hard work paid off. Her curve started at 40 degrees. Today? It’s down to 24.6 degrees! 🙌 Between the growth-guided correction of her Rigo Chêneau brace and her dedication to Schroth PT, we are just blown away by her progress.

Even though they live in Germany now, they still fly back to see us for her bracing. When we asked Eleanor what advice she has for other kids starting this journey, she said:

"It will be over. It helps with character building, helps with overcoming other challenges, and this will help you in the future." 💪

Taking a bite out of scoliosis! 🦈

With being this week, we couldn't resist showing off this jaw-some custom brace for one of our tiniest warriors battling infantile scoliosis.

At National Scoliosis Center, we believe brace treatment should empower our patients—no matter how young. Letting our patients pick their own fun patterns turns their treatment into something they can feel proud to rock every single day.

Welcome to the NSC Family, Eleanor! 💚

Six months ago, Eleanor was diagnosed with scoliosis and placed under a "watch-and-wait" approach. But when her recent checkup revealed her curve had jumped 5 degrees alongside back pain, her family knew it was time to take proactive action and look into custom bracing.

From their home in Ohio, her parents did their research. Their search led to us, National Scoliosis Center, and our custom Rigo Cheneau brace.

"The first time I called, we spoke with Senior Orthotist Kristian, who is now her orthotist," Patrick, Eleanor's dad, shared. "Kristian answered all our questions and more. The team at NSC is super accommodating for out-of-town patients, and we are really happy with the care we’ve received here so far."
