Knitting is a rewarding activity that helps with brain, eye, and hand coordination, reduces stress, improves mood, self-esteem, creativity, as well as stimulate concentration. How does knitting benefit us? Due to the repetitive movements, it releases more serotonin, which improves one’s mood, giving them serenity. Additionally, it can reduce the blood levels of cortisol, the stress hormone. It als

o strengthens neural pathways achieving the appropriate changes to start having a healthy brain, giving way to knitting new connections. In-person groups, which are held in different locations, are meant to be a support for mental health to help fight depression and loneliness while we enjoy the company of others and the process of learning knitting, crocheting, or Tunisian crochet.
