We were honored to present our Stronger Together Partnership Award in May to April Childs from Cahaba Medical Care! April is a Fairfield alum, and she goes above and beyond to serve our students, families, and community as a therapist at C. J. Donald Middle School. We are grateful for the many ways she invests in Fairfield City Schools!

We are EXCITED about registration in Fairfield City Schools! We had a great turnout at today’s Kindergarten Registration Party at Fairfield Pre-K and Fairfield Head Start! Make sure to go ahead and register your child in Fairfield for next school year!

Returning students can be registered online! New students can be registered in person at their new school!

Wow! A huge thank you to Southern Power for continuing to invest in C. J. Donald students! Last week, our students in Big Brothers Big Sisters who met their goals for the year got to celebrate! Students set individual goals at the beginning of the school year, and they tracked them throughout the year. Our students who met their goals joined their mentors for a fun-filled afternoon at Activate! We are proud of our students and grateful to Southern Power!

We were honored to present our Stronger Together Partnership Award in April to Ryan Parker, Chivon Morse, Gina Davis, Kala Goudy, and Quetta Lewis from United Way of Central Alabama! This team continues to do so much for our students and community through the Community Schools partnership, and we LOVE having them embedded in all of our schools. We are grateful for the many ways they invest in Fairfield City Schools!

We were honored to present our Stronger Together Partnership Award in March to Lige’ Richardson-Shears of Girls Inc. of Central Alabama! Lige’ and her team have led fabulous mentoring programs and college/career readiness programs at Glen Oaks Intermediate School, C. J. Donald Middle School, and Fairfield High Preparatory School the last few years. We are grateful for the ways she invests in Fairfield City Schools!

Students at C. J. Donald Middle School worked with a local artist to design and create their own mural at school!

Special thanks to the Alabama Arts Alliance for providing the grant funding to make this project possible. Thanks also to Arts Collab for working with our students. And a huge thanks to Ms. Goudy of United Way of Central Alabama for coordinating these efforts!
