💙 Compassion. Connection. Community. 💙

We’re walking to honor those we’ve lost, support those who are struggling, and remind every person that they are not alone. Su***de prevention starts with compassion, grows through connection, and becomes stronger when we come together as a community.

At Coastal Connecticut Counseling, we believe that no one should have to navigate life’s hardest moments alone. Every day, we see the difference that compassion, connection, and community can make for individuals and families who are struggling.

Supporting the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention is a natural extension of who we are and what we believe in. We are proud to walk together as the Coastal community, for our clients, our families, our team, and everyone whose life has been touched by su***de.

Please consider supporting our team. Every donation helps fund su***de prevention, education, research, advocacy, and support for those affected by su***de. https://afspwalks.donordrive.com/team/400393

Every step represents hope, healing, and the belief that no one should have to face their struggles alone. 💙

Together, we can make a difference. Together, we can save lives.

Sometimes growth means realizing the things that once worked for you… don’t anymore. 🌊

Old patterns, old habits, old ways of thinking—they may have helped you get here, but you don’t have to carry them with you forever.

Therapy can be the space where you learn what to leave behind, what to make room for, and how to open the door to something new. 🤍

Old ways won’t open new doors.

A little reminder for your Friday 🌊🤍

It’s easy to let worries about what might happen steal the joy from what’s happening right now. You don’t have to solve next week today.

Soak up today’s sunshine. ☀️ The rain can wait.

Trying is already an act of change. 🤍

Growth doesn’t always look like a huge breakthrough. Sometimes it’s showing up, trying something different, setting one boundary, or choosing to respond in a new way.

You don’t have to have it all figured out to be moving forward. 🌊

Sometimes growth feels a lot like fear. 🌊

The things that matter most often come with uncertainty—starting therapy, setting boundaries, changing careers, speaking up, or finally choosing yourself.

You don’t have to wait until you feel completely fearless. Courage is taking the next step anyway. 🤍

Some days, growth feels like progress.
Other days, it feels like simply showing up.

Both count.

Healing isn’t linear, and every step forward—big or small—is worth celebrating. 🤍🌊

Stay patient. Trust your journey.

Before the first therapy session, many parents wonder what to expect. 💙

The truth is, child therapy isn’t about “fixing” a child—it’s about understanding them.

Children often communicate through behavior long before they can put their feelings into words. A meltdown, withdrawal, or avoidance isn’t always defiance. Sometimes it’s anxiety, overwhelm, fear, or a need for connection.

In therapy, we meet children where they are—using play, art, stories, and relationship to help them feel safe, understood, and empowered.

When children feel seen, meaningful change becomes possible.

✨ Save this post for later, share it with a parent who may need the reminder, and follow along for Part Two.

Life isn’t about squeezing more into your days—it’s about making your days feel more meaningful. Take the walk. Call the friend. Rest without guilt. Laugh a little longer. You deserve a life that feels lived, not just managed.

Sometimes the most important thing you can do is come back to the present moment. 🤍

Be where your feet are. Not in yesterday’s worries. Not in tomorrow’s what-ifs. Right here, right now.

Small moments of presence can create space for healing, clarity, and peace.
