The moment someone says “I just need to strengthen my core” we already know the problem.
Not with the effort. The effort is there.
The direction is off.
Your back didn’t go out when you bent down to pick up that golf ball. It was already at its limit. That was just the moment it couldn’t hide it anymore.
And now you’re on YouTube at midnight. You’re getting advice from three different people at the gym. You’re doing planks, bird dogs, dead bugs all of it.
Still waking up stiff.
Still scared to sneeze wrong.
Here’s what nobody is telling you:
Your core doesn’t just need to be strong. It needs to resist rotation.
Move through a full range of motion. Your tissue needs the quality to actually do those things.
And your whole body needs to be prepared for the unpredictable stuff like bending, twisting, lifting, living.
It’s not one thing. It never was.
The people who actually get out of pain stop chasing the one fix. They get a real assessment. They find out exactly what their body can and can’t do. Then they build from there.
