School buses are rolling. The coffee line is longer. Everybody forgot how early 7:30 actually is.

School starts this week. 🚌 And if you know, you know, Fairhope.

Twin Beech Road is about to become a parking lot with ambitions.
The Boothe Road "shortcut" is making promises it can't keep.
Gayfer Avenue has already dropped its speed limit to "charity walk".
And at least one parent is about to hear, ""I forgot my backpack"" as they pull into the car line.

Leave a few minutes early, give school buses plenty of room, and be kind out there. We're all running on caffeine and a first-week-of-school prayer.

(and remember: we open at 8:30am for those mornings you wake up feeling under the weather.)

It's 2am. Your child's fever medicine is due...but they're finally asleep. What do you do?

If there's nothing concerning like trouble breathing, severe flushing, or a rapid fever spike, it's usually okay to let them sleep and give the next dose when they wake up.

Fever reducers are meant to keep your child comfortable, not cure the illness. If they're resting comfortably, they're already getting one of the best medicines there is: sleep.

And if the fever won't break or you just want peace of mind, pay us a visit in the morning.

Keeping an urgent care running smoothly is a lot like parenting young kids: there's always something unexpected.

Our Office Manager, Courtney, has been with us since we opened our doors and is also mom to two little ones. So if she seems to really get it when your kid won't stop singing "Let it Go" in the waiting room, there's a good chance it's because she's been there herself.

Probably this morning.
