Hey Mamas! We know you have one of the toughest jobs on the planet. So making sure you have enough energy so that you not only survive your day but you thrive in them is key!

And deep down you probably know that you don’t want to be caught in that vicious cycle off jumpstarting with coffee in the mornings and winding down with wine at night. These can actually make your energy woes worse without understanding the subtleties of their effects.

So what can help?

1) Grounding while getting early sunrise light cues in your eyes to rehydrate and restore your energy management systems

2) Eating a high protein breakfast before your coffee to prevent a huge cortisol spike that could have you crashing later. (If you’re not hungry in the mornings this is a sign your cortisol is too high already)

3) Eliminating late night wine breaks/snacks and making sure you finish your last meal 4-5 hrs before bed. Eating too late can make it harder for you to fall asleep and stay asleep.

😴😴😵‍💫

Feel familiar?

Baby up all night? Sleeping all day?

Sometimes it can be challenging for baby to settle into a good rhythm once they are earth side.

Taking care of your circadian rhythms together may be the gentle support you both need to be able to get a good night’s rest.

An easy way to do this is by getting good sunlight exposure with “naked” eyes and bare feet in the ground during the day. Then work to limit your night time exposure to blue light after sunset.

This may help support better melatonin cycling for better sleep!

If you’re breastfeeding even your breastmilk may have higher quantities of melatonin at night as you enhance your circadian rhythm. 🥳🥳
