Our resident Anna wanted to fly among the trees on a zipline. So, fly she shall!

Last Friday, Anna got to Live Her Wish thanks to the help of the Rotary Club of Akron, OH and their Bud Rogers Adventure Park. As you can see, she had an absolute blast zooming on their zipline and zipline jumps! A big ‘thank you’ to Mella, Amanda, Brooklyn, Grace, and the rest of the staff at the Rotary Camp for Children with Special Needs and their wonderful, lasting kindness and hospitality 😊

Our Live Your Wish program was designed to make the dreams of our residents come true or help new experiences come to fruition. If you know of something special your loved one would like to do, please feel free to reach out. If we can make it happen---we will! Carl Bako, Village VP of Development, participated in a panel discussion Thursday at the Society of American Baseball Research annual convention in Cleveland. The session, focused on SABR's "Baseball Memories" program, was moderated by Joe Shaw of SABR's local Jack Graney Cleveland Chapter. Joe has visited all three Village communities multiple times with the Baseball Memories program which is designed to foster storytelling and ignite nostalgia for seniors, particularly those with cognitive decline. The programs have been a huge hit (pun intended) with residents. We plan to see Joe again soon at The Village for a new round of fun baseball talk.

SABR was founded in 1971 and now has 7,500 baseball-loving members worldwide.

Assisted and Independent Living residents at the Village in Fairlawn were in for a super fun ride yesterday! 3Wheel Therapy paid us a visit to offer interested residents trips in their three-wheel adaptive tricycles. These tricycles are fitted out with a seat on the front and in the back to give its occupant the ride of a lifetime without all the pesky pedaling! Complete with music and popsicles on the patio, the weather was absolutely perfect for a breezy ride. 🚲

Supported by our LiveYourWish program, many of these residents hadn’t ridden a bike in decades! LiveYourWish aims to fulfill our residents dreams! Whether that’s doing something they haven’t done in decades or something they’ve never done before!

Thank you again 3Wheel Therapy! 🚲
