Road Work Ahead!!! 🚧

Crews will be busy around Fairmont next week. Here's what to expect.

✔️ Monday - Lake Ave Bridge & Woodland Ave Bridge Concrete Sealed
Traffic will be reduced to one lane around the sealing/curing operations. Traffic control will be on site. Plan for very short delays.

✔️ Tuesday - Blacktop work around Park Street & 2nd Street Areas
Traffic should not be substantially affected.

✔️ Wednesday & Thursday - Blacktop work around Albion Ave & Cedar Street Areas
Traffic will be reduced to one lane with site control.

As always, thank you for your patience as crews make these necessary repairs. Please slow down and watch for crew workers. If possible, consider using an alternate route for travel and/or expect delays when traveling in said areas.

Finished mowing? Just one more step.......

If grass clipping make their way into the street, remember to sweep or blow them back onto your lawn when you are finished.

Keeping clippings off the street helps keep our community looking sharp, keeps storm drains clear, prevents grass and nutrients from washing into our lakes, and keeps bicycle and motorcycle riders safe.

It's also part of Fairmont City Code Section 22-21, which makes it unlawful to throw or deposit grass clippings (among several other items), in any street or public place.
