๐ŸŒž Help Us Create More Comfortable Outdoor Spaces for Recovery ๐ŸŒž

Hello community! ๐Ÿ‘‹ As the weather gets warmer, we're looking to enhance the outdoor spaces at Recovery in Motion for the men we serve in our residential treatment program.

If you have gently used...

๐Ÿ‘‰ Outdoor patio furniture
๐Ÿ‘‰ Lawn chairs
๐Ÿ‘‰ Picnic tables
๐Ÿ‘‰ Benches
๐Ÿ‘‰ Other outdoor seating
..that you're no longer using, we'd be grateful to give it a second life! ๐Ÿ˜

Time spent outdoors can be an important part of the recovery processโ€”providing opportunities for conversation, reflection, fellowship, catching some rays, and simply enjoying a peaceful moment to touch grass.

If you'd like to donate or have questions about an item, please contact us. We'll come and pick up your donations too! ๐ŸŽ‰

๐ŸŽ‰ You know what day it is! ๐Ÿช After a brief break, Motion Maker Monday is back, and today we're shining the spotlight on one of the founders of Recovery in Motion and our Director of Operations, Zach Blanchard. ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ

If you've ever wondered who keeps the wheels turning around here while simultaneously creating at least some of the chaos he's solving, look no further. ๐Ÿ˜†

Whether he's tackling operational challenges, jumping into a project nobody asked him to do, or heading home to be supervised by his bulldog, Bozley, he brings plenty of humor, dedication, and personality to the team. Let's learn a little more about the man behind the title! ๐Ÿ˜

Q. Whatโ€™s the funniest โ€œthis canโ€™t possibly be my job right nowโ€ moment youโ€™ve had as Director of Operations?

A. Carrying trashcans of vomit out of a client's bedroom - so frequently it became part of the daily routine for a while. ๐Ÿคข

Q. Which one is more stubborn: you or your bulldog Bozley? ๐Ÿพ

A. Definitely Bozley; although, it can be a close match some days! ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Q. Whatโ€™s one thing youโ€™ve fixed around the building that nobody even realized was broken?

A. Lightbulbs!๐Ÿ’กIt seems like every day another one is burned out! ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Q. If your coworkers had to create a warning label for you, what would it say?

A. โ€œCaution: Conversations may reset without notice.โ€

Q. Whatโ€™s your signature move when five different problems hit you at the exact same time?

A. Ask Jenna. ๐Ÿ™‚

Q. If Bozley could attend leadership meetings, would he improve productivity or make things significantly worse?

A. If he could talk, he would definitely be full of wisdom and good ideas. However, he would likely just run around, slobbering on everyone and everything! ๐Ÿ˜

Q. Whatโ€™s one thing you swore youโ€™d never do as an owner that you now do almost daily?

A. I never quite planned to be the groundskeeper...but here I am, killin' it! ๐Ÿ’ช

Q. Be honest โ€” how much of leadership is experience and how much is just confidently winging it? ๐Ÿ˜„

A. Confidently winging it has become such a signature move, one could now call it experience! ๐Ÿ™‚

๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธToday's Motion Maker Monday is extra sweet - not only because of the person featured, but also because this is our 16th team member in the spotlight. ๐Ÿ”ฆ

Behavioral Health Technician Angie Crees is the ultimate Energizer Bunny at Recovery in Motion and not a single moment goes by that Angie isn't sneaking in some extra work. She's usually already halfway finished completing a project before you even know that it needed to be done and Angie is one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet. โค๏ธ Learn more about our very own productivity ninja below! ๐Ÿฅท

Q. Whatโ€™s the longest amount of time youโ€™ve gone without getting up to do something at work?

A.Depends on the dayโ€ฆ maybe 3 minutes. ๐Ÿ˜…

Q. If we hid all the cleaning supplies, clipboards, and paperwork from you for a day, how uncomfortable would you be?

A. I honestly wouldnโ€™t know what to do with myself. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Iโ€™d be very uncomfortable. Iโ€™d probably end up asking Jesse if he needed help with something.

Q. At what point did โ€œIโ€™ll help real quickโ€ become a full-time personality trait?

A. I probably do say that a lot. ๐Ÿ˜… Usually when one person asks me for something, I suddenly have 3 other people asking too. Iโ€™m still working on the whole โ€œIโ€™ll be there in just a minuteโ€ thing.

Q. If multitasking were an Olympic sport, what medal are you bringing home for Recovery in Motion?

A. Gold, of course. ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ† Most days, I am a caffeinated squirrel on roller skates.

Q. If we put a Fitbit on you during shift, would it just burst into flames?

A. I average 13,000 steps at RIM.
Sometimes I feel like I donโ€™t complete my thought. Caffeine and ADHD doesnโ€™t work together. lol

Q. Whatโ€™s one thing you physically cannot walk past without fixing, cleaning, organizing, or commenting on?

A. The couch covers. I fix them every chance I get. ๐Ÿ˜…

Q. If caffeine disappeared tomorrow, how concerned should the rest of the staff be?

A. Very concerned. ๐Ÿ˜‚ The struggle would be real. Youโ€™d probably just find me sitting on the couch with Murphy ๐Ÿฆฎ
