Mental Health Dart Classic For Suicide Awareness Philadelphia

THANK YOU to everyone who attended and or who sponsored this fantastic dart classic for a great cause that I created! Mental Health Dart Classic For Su***de Awareness Philadelphia!

We raised $2,470.00! (this is after expenses such as 1st place plaques, a few bottles of cheer as raffle prizes, and other small supplies such as bags, colored dots and more)

Breakdown:
* I am putting $370 aside as I want to make this fundraiser a non-profit for various reasons.

* $750 will be donated to the Philly Veteran Center - offering free counseling to veterans and their families Vet Centers

* $750 will be donated to NAMI office in Philly - (National Alliance on Mental Illness) NAMI

* $600 will be donated to VMC of Philadelphia (Veteran Multi-Service Center) Veterans Multi-Service Center - I found out recently, while donating $369.00 dollars from funds received for my birthday here on FB, that this fed like 72 veterans for a meal!! This organization not only helps veterans find employment & housing, but they have many veterans looking for food. In fact, they get anywhere from 50 to 150 veterans per day!!! ... looking for a meal. So, this $600 will help feed 120 veterans for the day. Well, at least one meal for that day!

I know this fundraiser was help to raise funds for mental health and such, which is very near and dear to my heart.... losing two veteran friends & one civilian friend over the years, but I can't fathom those who are hungry, starving daily, especially our veterans who signed that blank check to help protect America.

So, I will be holding this dart classic next year and the years to come, but I'll be amending my mission to include helping starving veterans.

Hey all.... Our dart shoot fundraiser on Saturday, May 11th was a success. I am trying to reach those who attended and won raffle prizes. Why? I asked people to follow up with me to claim some of the prizes. If you won any of these prizes, please text me at (609) 440-5133.

1) Phillies vs Texas Rangers - Wednesday, May 22 at 6:40 pm. (I can't remember who won these tickets, but someone needs to contact me asap so I can transfer the tickets to them)

2) Beach House in Wildwood for off season - October 2024 to April 2025 -

3) Two separate gift cards for John's Roast Pork. I know Jim Cogs was one of the winners.

4) Two separate gift certificates to Curly's Comfort Food in Levitown, PA.

One in five American adults has a mental health condition. But stigma and misinformation keep too many from speaking up or getting help. It’s time to end the stigma and break down the barriers.

The two organizations that we are raising money for is:

The Philly Vet Center: Center City Philadelphia Vet Center
Offers confidential help for Veterans, service members, and their families at no cost in a non-medical setting. Their services include counseling for needs such as depression, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and the psychological effects of military sexual trauma (MST). They can also connect you with more support in VA and within your community.

NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) - Is an alliance of more than 600 local affiliates who work in your community to raise awareness and provide support and education that was not previously available to those in need. NAMI provides advocacy, education, support and public awareness so that all individuals and families affected by mental illness can build better lives.
