More than 7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s today, and for many of us, that number is personal.

We’ve seen its impact on someone we know and love – a family member, friend or colleague. Through our work at Home Helpers® Home Care, we also see the challenges faced by clients and families our network supports.

That’s why we walk. To honor those we love, stand alongside families navigating this disease, and help advance Alzheimer’s care, support and research.

Thank you to everyone who is supporting the Alzheimer's Association's Walks to End Alzheimer’s across the nation.

Whether you walked, donated, or helped raise awareness, you helped bring our commitment to care into the community.

We’re grateful for your support and hopeful for a future without Alzheimer’s. 💜

There is a very specific kind of comfort that exists here on the SouthCoast!!

They say care is a universal language, but here in Fall River, we think it's a beautiful conversation between cultures. 🇵🇹🤝🇵🇭

At Home Helpers Home Care of Bristol County, we are proudly run by a leadership team with deep Filipino roots, where caring for our elders (our Lolas and Lolos) with absolute devotion is a sacred, central pillar of who we are.

Our local owner brings this beautiful, family first philosophy to Fall River, guiding and inspiring our wonderful, diverse team of local caregivers who come from all walks of life right here in our community.

When our caregivers step into a home, they bring that high standard of respect while embracing the unique local traditions that make your family who they are.

It means our caregivers love learning the perfect way to slice the massa sovada for morning coffee! It means sharing stories of growing up near the water, whether it's the Taunton River under the Braga Bridge or the beautiful coastlines of the Philippines.

It’s a wonderful meeting of minds where we learn a few words of Portuguese, and our senior neighbors teach us the local history of Battleship Cove.

We might come from different backgrounds, but under our roof, we share the exact same heart...a deep, uncompromising respect for the generations who built our communities. ❤️

Food is how we all show love! What is a favorite family recipe or local comfort food that always makes you feel at home?

Fall River and Bristol County families, we recently came across these findings from AARP. Do these feel familiar?

According to AARP, 29% of caregivers are part of the sandwich generation, caring for children while also supporting aging parents. Among caregivers under age 50, that number rises to 47%.

For many families, that means balancing children, work, household responsibilities, appointments, and the growing needs of an aging parent. It is overwhelming, especially when you are unsure where to turn.

If this feels familiar, you are not alone. Home Helpers Home Care of Fall River is here to help families throughout Bristol County find the right support at home.

Whether your family needs companionship, help with daily routines, meal preparation, personal care, or simply a little breathing room, we are here to listen and help you explore your options.
